Welcome to the Central Florida Child Health Program Inc.
Our Mission: To ensure under-served children in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Brevard counties have the opportunity to reach their full potential by providing education, health and social services that are comprehensive, accessible, and family-focused.
Our Story
Central Florida Child Health Program Inc. (CFCHP) was established as a non-profit in 1991 in a response to Florida Legislature recognizing the need to develop a mechanism whereby all Florida citizens could access basic primary health care.
To fill this need for primary care services, CFCHP began a partnership with the Department of Health/Children’s Medical Services (CMS) in 1992, providing comprehensive (Medical Home) primary care services to those in the under-served pediatric population in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties who were experiencing medical, social, and economic issues.
HIPPY
HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) is a home-based early childhood education program available to children ages 2-5 years old in Brevard and Orange County. The program is free to low-income families. The HIPPY program provides parents with guidance and instruction on a 30-week curriculum which includes story books and other materials. HIPPY seeks to empower parents to be their child’s first teacher, promote parent/child interaction, and ensure kindergarten readiness. CFCHP is always seeking additional funding sources to grow HIPPY and provide this amazing program to even more families.
